Contains 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate, which is effective for skin disinfectation in clinics, surgeries and other medical facilities.
Medigene Chlorhex-2% contains a standard 2% Chlorhexidine Digluconate (CHG), a well known disinfectant-antiseptic which is used for the disinfection of both the patient’s skin and the hands of the medical personnel before surgery.
Medigene Chlorhex-2% is used to both clean and disinfect wounds, cuts, abrasions and burns. It is excellent in the treatment of oral yeast infections and the prevention of dental plaque.
Medigene Chlorhex-2% is also used to sterilize surgical instruments and to keep urinary catheters from blocking.
Chlorhexidine is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, one of the safest and most effective antiseptics available.

Directions of use
- Use neat.
- Antimicrobial handwash: Pour, pump or squirt 5ml of Chlorhex-2% onto one hand and work up a lather by rubbing your hands together for 30 seconds. Make sure to cover all parts of both hands with lather. Rinse well with clean water. Air dry.

This product may also be used as an antimicrobial body wash. Rinse off and dry as usual.

FIRST AID
- If on skin, wash with soap & water. Rinse well with clean water.
- If in eyes, rinse well with water. Remove any contact lenses. Continue rinsing for 5 minutes.
- If inhaled, move to fresh air & rest where you can breathe comfortably.
- If ingested, do not induce vomiting. Drink a glass of water.
- Seek medical attention/advice if you feel unwell or any irritation persists.
